The basic principles of the J-Trak system are quite simple.
The aim is to create a system of modular tables which can be rearranged to make different Scalextric layouts, and can be transported, stacked, stored and set up fairly easily.
There are two things which we need to define and standardise - the track connections, and the table heights. Without these, the modules will be incompatible, and the system simply won't work.
Beyond that, there are a number of other issues which, although not essential, might well make the all important difference between a functional, reliable system, and one which is a constant source of frustration.
Here we'll provide as much practical advice and information as possible, regarding table connections, power taps, and general construction.
